Featured Replies

Will a Johnny Morris,7 ft,med action, with a fast tip, make a good skipping rod,or do you know something better to learn on,and a Siebert swim jig,3/8 oz ? as always GOD Bless and Thanks a lot

You talking spinning or casting?

Either way, it'd probably work fine so long as the rod can load up whatever you're wanting to skip.

I skip with medium Compre's, other rods all the time, the Compre's are M XF....

A. Typical 7' M has a little flex to it and should load pretty good, which is what yyou want. I prefer a bit shorter rod if im skipping on a low roll cast. For those casts i like 66 or a 68 . But i can skip with a pitching motion with just about any length.

7'M is a good selection.
