I was not entirely sure what cartegory to post this in, but does anybody know anything about portable fish finders? I am a college student and I fish from a small raft with a 2 hp motor (both of which i keep in my dorm room).  There are a few lakes around my college i try and fish but i have no idea whats beneath the surface and have no previous experience on the lakes.

Im at college too but Im a bank beater wish I had a boat though :'( Anyway Im pretty sure this has a suction cup transducer that is reliable and it seems like a pretty fair price. Hope this helps!

I use one of those and it does an excellent job of charting the bottom, but with the suction-cup transducer you sometimes have to reattach it during a trip
