Has anyone tried the Huddle-Bug?

Featured Replies

I was looking around and I found this http://www.huddlestondeluxe.com/generic48.html  click on the top video.  It looks amazingly realistic.  He sells these $10.99 for 5 but he charges $6.50 in shipping.  Let me know if anyone has experience with them.

I have not tried them yet but have four packs of them. :) They really look good though. I got mine this past fall before the prices went up. ;) I had no idea they went up that much. I think I paid $6.00 - $7.00 a pack for mine, 1 orange, 1 green, and two brown with purple. The green color is not real green but more of a green pumpkin color. One thing I can tell you is they don't appear to be very durable, the finish (painted rubber) has already rubbed off a little on spots and they are not even out of the plastic yet. >:) They also look like they would get hung up easily from the way they are rigged with the weights on the belly. I guess I'll find out soon enough.

They are pretty sweet little baits. I have caught a few keeper size fish on them when the jig bite shut down.

I just don't understand why many of the craw imitation makers have it so the craw walks forward?????

I'd love the hudbug if it pulled backwards like a real craw travels.  (I know they CAN walk forward but you'll only see that if there are no bass around.)

My thoughts exactly!

*hint hint*

Pull out Ken's rigging system, put ballhead in bait, hook exposed out of back, pull backward like you want to fish it. Its awesome!

And yes, the huddlebug is a pretty killer bait.
