Berkley Lightning Rod Shock Question

Featured Replies

This is in regards to the baitcast rod.

I know it's specifically made for braided line, but can mono line also be used? I know it has a softer tip since braid has no stretch.

There's a 7'6" model I am contemplating on buying for use as a swimbait rod, thinking of using 15-20 lb P-Line.

I dont want to spend $$$ for a rod to chunk up to 3 oz swimbaits.

Any of you own the Sock and have or are using mono line with it?

Mono was all I ever used on them, I bought some of the shock rods because of a good price I got on them.

7'M with 10lb CX

7'MH with 15lb CX

I also have one, and use Triple Fish Mono. on it...Works great..

The soft tip works great for dropshotting.
