Looking for some information that i cannot find on the internet anywhere!

I am From Texas and i currently Bass fish in New Mexico. This Saturday i went out fishing as i do every weekend, and i had caught a Blue Tinted Laregmouth Bass, this wasnt the first one i have caught here before.

They are quite Rare and have caught maybe 3, and my buddy has caught a few too. But when we do happen to get a hold of one they are always and i mean always soo fat, so fat. but we dont know what causes this blue effect that we have never seen before? And why are the Blue ones always so fat? every other largmouth is green (of course). Here is a Pic of one, compared to normal green ones we catch.

I guide on a lake that has feeder trained LM. When we first started this feeding project the bass were blue color. (Even more blue that the one in your picture.) The biologist and Purina played around with the feed and we found out that the blue color was caused by too much fat in their diet. Once they fixed that the bass color turned back to normal.

feeding fish corn and/or meat bi-products can't be good. you gotta love the short term effect of catching lunkers but the bad news will be told long term.
