Has anyone fished Tunica within the last year or so? I am looking for somewhere to fish closer to Memphis than Pickwick. I love Pickwick, but with gas prices like they are, I need something closer. Any help would be appreciated.

I fished it in the middle of the summer last year.  Bunch of Asian carp and gar.  Caught 3 stripes and 2 LM fishing hard all day.  That being said, there are some nice sacks caught there.  And the crappie fishing is great at times!

Love Tunica!  I've seen some sacks come out of Tunica.  Last year in April, I took a co-worker down there and we hammered big fish in 2-3 ft of water on spinnerbaits and by flipping plastics back in the willows and cypress trees.  I really like it early in the year from March to May, and then again in Sept and October.  It does get tough in the hottest part of the summer, as Jeff mentioned above.  It can be lights out early in the year, during and leading up to the spawn.

have not fished there in years, used to be able to catch some good fish there.

Yea I hate those Asian carp... Haven't fished there in years either.. Hopefully the fishing is still good..
