Finally Have A Fenwick Aetos

Featured Replies

I purchased the 7 ft 9" H action Fenwick Aetos. I was first floored by how cool this rod looks. The handle material is awesome and does feel great paired up with several different reels ( abu winch & lews tp to name a few). The finish on the rod appears to be blueish until you hit the right light and the pattern on the rod really shines. The little details on this rod make it one of the coolest looking rods I own. Now hopefully it preforms as well as it looks. It will be used for swimbaits and also a rigs. I will update this post as I begin to test the rod.

Looking forward to the update.  Think an Aetos would look good with the Patriarch XT?

If you are talking about the supreme xt then yes. My friend has his patriarch supreme xt on his spinning aetos and it looks awesome. Also I wont be able to update this post until a week or so later after this tournament.

A Patriarch XT looks good on ANY rod!

Sorry.  Talking about the Patriarch XT baitcasting reel.  It has the blue finish.  And, yeah, it looks good on any rod to me.  :eyebrows:

So I couldn't help myself and decided to take my fenwick out on the Big Lake  ( AKA Lake Michigan). I slapped on my gen 2 revo winch with 65lb and threw a 6in huddleston deluxe swimbait. It was super easy to cast and very comfortable. The rod loaded up perfectly and paired with the winch it casted a mile.  I will and an update after the week of torture testing ( spending a week in missouri prefishing a tournament / fishing the tournament ) during my spring break.
