I have read the article about inline spinners for Bass in the latest In-Fisherman Magazine.

I have now started stocking up on different #3 Mepps Spinners. I ordered 3 spinners and on 2 of the baits its very obvious on which conditions apply to them.

1.)Copper Colored Blade with a Chartreuse Body I know is good for low light conditions,Dingy,murky water or when its overcast.

2.)Silver blade with a silver body is good for bright sunny days.

The color I am having trouble with is on the last of the 3 baits I received.

3.)The Blade is Black and the body is yellow.

Now I know this is REALLY gonna throw off a contrast of colors as the blade spins around the body.

So, on this color combo,whats an ideal condition to throw it in? Is this a happy medium,all around good color combo which will work in any situation?

Ive never seen any spinner,whether it be an inline or a spinnerbait that has a solid black blade.

Please enlighten me... Thank You

When visibility is lowest like muddy water or at night.

Dead on. This bait doesn't look natural at all so on clear water with bluebird skies you probably wouldn't do so well with it.

But throw in stained to muddy water with a storm coming over. Plenty of clouds in the sky and some wind and you'll probably knock their lights out.

I had used a lot the black mepps or black fury's, those theorically works on low light or visibility, conditions but the reallity is that works when the others two don't and not necessary on low visibility conditions!!!!!...after some time of try and nothing works use that!

Black is for night time!

Dark water for sure but as stated try them when nothing else works.
