Crankbaits swimming sideways?

Featured Replies

I use Bandit crankbaits, but most of them keep swimming sideways. Any tips to fixing this?

you can read the back of the box a bandit comes in, but basically you bend the eye a little to the opposite direction its tracking.

Cranks will also turn on their side when being retrieved to fast.  Depending on your retrieve speed you may need to slow down as well as tune the bait.

During one of my trips to Bass Pro I came across a crankbait tuning tool.  Basically, it is a 4" metal cylinder with an + cut into one end.  It works alot better than needle nose pliers or needle nose vice grips.
