Glenn Springs

Featured Replies

Anyone been lately?  Tossing around the idea of fishing closer to home this weekend instead of heading up to Pickwick again.

Been wondering the same?

Throw a rattle trap in the grass mats.  Warning:  You will spend a lot of time cleaning off your hooks but you will catch a lot of bass too.  If you're not fouling your hooks and ripping it, you aren't catching :)

You've probably got a month or so before the grass gets too thick for traps.

there are still some nice fish at glenn springs. i like to throw weightless senkos wacky rigged in front of the grass

We went yesterday afternoon for a few hours.  Caught some fish on Texas rigged lizard, partner caught a nice one on a frog.  Threw a trap and spinnerbait but no bites.  Algae bloom is pretty bad right now.

New to the forum. Going out tomorrow and not sure whether to hit orgill or glenn. Taking my little johnboat. And suggestions on which and what to fish with?
