Holy crap is it sweet. Paired it up my Gen 3 STX and it balances out flawlessly. When I checked out the *** at Gander, they seemed a tad tip heavy but not too bad. Paired up with my STX though I don't even notice it. Feels so light and crisp. Here are some pics so you can see these 2 paired up and to show where it balances out at. Very happy.

Told you TNbassin that the *** would look killer paired with a STX. I know looks doesn't mean it'll perform well but having a nice looking setup will make you want to fish it more lol.

I'm just loving how they balance and how the rod handles. Makes the Veritas feel like a heavy broom stick now.

those gl2 are a nice rod, dont get me wrong, i had 3 of them, i picked up a *** black, and honestly  it is quite a bit better than the gl2. its lighter, NOT tip heavy, tad bit more sensitive, and the handle is all personal preferance, but i love the handles on both rods. 

If I were in the market for a set up the GL2 would be the furthest from my list, $200 dollars for a rod that is heavy with mediocre componetes, you get more with a Vendetta and they can't touch what you get with the *** Black.
