Zoom Tiny Brush Hog

Featured Replies

hey guys....

quick question, i know the Zoom Tiny Brush Hog is optimal for dropshotting... but if one were to want to use it for flippin' and pitchin', or for some swimmin', would you have to use a 1/0 hook... or could I get away with a 2/0 without losing any action?

Thanks,

CanadianKid

I've barely used mine yet but I think a 2/0 is too big. I'd use a 1/0 or even a size 1 wide gap hook.

I agree with Bassin!

x3 on this.

1/0 is the perfect size, but I think you could slip by with a 2/0.

Try a slider spider head 3/16, my son was flippin holes in some shallow pads on a pond with this setup yesterday and it was working pretty good. If you need a heavier hook, maybe a 1/0 with a hitch hiker to keep the bait in place better.

ah my favorite bait for clear water

here is my approach

i use size 2 ewg with 1/16 or 1/8 tungsten my pb on that lure was 2 lbs it is good for tournament because it allows you to fill your limit fast

Ive used a 2/0 hook on it and noticed no difference in action, and i prefer the bigger hook,a confidence thing i guess.  ;D tight lines
