i am wondering that solid bodies frog like horny toad and rage toad will produce results during the spawing peroid?

because i will fish tournament at may 22 it will be still spawing and there is lots of milfoils and hydrilla during the low tide should i use that?

I have caught many topwater fish from AprilJune, so I'd definitely give them a try.

Ive had alot of luck catching spawning bass on topwater frogs , i just try and figure out what kind of retrieve they want. Just try and get it across the beds, the goal is to pi$$ them off enough to get a reaction strike. Multiple casts to the beds. good luck and tight lines ;D

I have also caught spawning fish flipping a zoom horny toad in beds and letting it sit. Just give the fish a half second because sometimes they grab the legs first.

With hollow frogs I only do well with them in the summer and in heavy cover. It's a seasonal bite but red hot oftentimes.
