Finesse jigs

Featured Replies

My version of a finesse jigs is a 1/8 or 3/16 wire guard football. I have one tied on all year long. Anytime fish are shallow finesse jigs will work. Excellent for around docks, rocks and shallow wood. I think the compact bait gets more bites. As far as fishing them, its the same as a reg. jig.

I like finesse jigs whenever the bite is tough and the bass won't hit a bigger jig.  My favorites are Booyah bed bugs in 5/16 & 7/16 oz and also Eakins jigs.  Match up your favorite craw or twin tail trailer and fish like you would a normal jig.

A 24" bass in my pond agrees with your bed bug comment.
