Fishing Around Rio Hotel In Vegas , Visiting End Of August , Info Please

Featured Replies

I am having to visit Vegas the last week of August,  Will be staying at the RIO in Las Vegas.   I would like to try to do some some bass fishing while i am there.  I am from New Hampshire and have no idea on the area. Can anyone point me in a direction of places or people to talk to.  Most likely i would have 1/2 to 3/4 of a day to spend on the water.   SM , LM , other game fish or types of bass?  Walleye ? Pike ?  Because i only will have 1 day i am trying to do some research.   I mainly fish for LM and SM here in NH.   although this year my son and i want to catch a 20+ lb pike and a 8+ lb walleye.  Neither of us have ever caught a Pike or a Walleye.  Salmon? , Big Trout ? Any help is appreciated.  Any Bass clubs close to this area?  I am thinking possibly someone from a club would be willing to let me tag along for a day.  I am just a regular 48 yr old guy wanting to fish an area i have never been and know nothing about.   Thank You for any help. Are there fishing guides in the area?

Butch.  Thank You for the pm ,   i will be in touch.  $950 for the day to rent your boat with a guide on Lake Mead is a little tough.  I have to give it some consideration before i spend that kind of money.   I didnt realize fishing out there was so tough.  I may abandon the plan of trying to Bass fish while i am there.    Thank You for the info though.

You can always chunk a spinnerbait infront of the Bellagio...

I don't remember a whole lot about Vegas but my credit card statement said I had fun.

Oh and don't get on the boat infront of Treasure Island... drunk... had to talk my way outta going to jail over that one.
