    While waiting for some answers, do a search.  Or glancing through the first 3-4 pages of threads should turn up a couple threads on this very subject.

     

    EDIT:  Here is one a few threads down on $80 or less rods and $100 or less reels.  You will find a few in each category that retail more than the OP's suggestion for an upper limit....putting them closer to your upper limit..
