Upcoming Potholes Tournament

Featured Replies

The Western Bass Club is having its first Members points tournament for 2013 on Potholes Reservoir the 18th-19th and will be launching / weighing in at the Lind Coulee boat launch starting at 5:15 am and weighing in at 3 PM Saturday and 2PM Sunday. I will post some pics and results of our event and see about getting some info from the MarDon event held at the same time. Stay Tuned.

I'll be over there with a few buddies just fun fishing Larry.  I'll try to stay out of your way!  We will be there from Thursday night to Monday.  Staying at Blythe. Good luck.

Tournament went very well as the large females were post/pre spawn and was able to find the ledges they liked and got First Place with 34.64 pounds and Big Fish at 5.28!! 15 boats with 23 anglers made the trip and a variety of patterns emerged but majority of them fished the abundant Smallmouth bite. I concentrated on only Largemouth. will post a pic when PhotoCRAPbucket starts working.

Nice job Larry!  I was on the largemouth pretty well myself.  Mainly jigs and a few spinnerbait fish for me.  Saturday was one of those special days for me.  Biggest 5 for me was 23lbs or so with a 6lb largemouth to anchor my day.  Go figure, I was just fun fishing!  LOL.    Wish I would have entered in one of the tournaments, but then I probably wouldn't have caught them.  Hopefully they will still be around for the NW Bass tournament in a couple of weeks.  My buddies caught a couple in the 3 and 4 pound range and several 3-4 lb. smallmouth.  Great weekend for sure.
