T-Rigged Floating Worms?

Featured Replies

I was just wondering if anyone regularly uses this presentation for finesse/floating worms and if they fish it any differently than you would fish a regular t rigged worm or other soft plastic?

A lot of times I will T-Rig a senko weightless, have it sit on the bottom and give a little twitch every once in a while.

I rig a Slugo with the hook exposed and have a quick retrieve where it is a few inches under the surface, creating a wake... Thats my fav summer bait... Senko works whenever...

Also using a roboworm hooked weedless retieving it through lilly pads.... Sweet tactic!

You can rig the floating worms weightless and jerk or reel steady on top. Or you can add a weight or put on a shaky head and they un weighted end stands off the bottom then twitch, hop, or drag it.

I was thinking with a standard bullet sinker, like you fish a big worm or lizard along the bottom.  Seen some guys on my local lake fishing like that a lot but I would think a shaky head would be a better way to fish it to give it more action.  Seems as though most of my bites with it come right as it hits the bottom when I have tried it with a sinker

They're a great addition to a C-rig when you want to keep the 'bait' well off the bottom.  I've nose hooked them with a 1/0 weedless hook and didn't notice any increase in hook ups so I went back to T-rigging them with no weight.  The only time I fish them that way is in the spring.

i t-rig them weightless and they slightly suspend in the water. i will give it a tug and it "slithers" through the water like a snake and then pause and repeat every few seconds. this kills pond fish. you will go from a jerk and pause to your line going sideways from a fish that just cant stand it. i like to do this with a floating 7 inch shakey style worm...
