Nice, i live on the south shore of Suffolk.  Not too many big lakes out here but I will take what i can get!

Ever try  blydenburg, they rent rowboats. It's got real good fishing also. Those small ponds off Montauk hwy around moriches are good also. I'm looking to pick up a 10' Jon boat or similar to fish a bunch of those smaller long island lakes. I've done real well on ronkonkama, but got kick off due to the motor on the back of the boat. I had it up and a bag over the prop and they still kicked me off.

Used to fish down there a lot.when me and my ex were together.. my uncle.says ronkonkama lake is pretty good..where do you take your boat upstate? I live alittle south of albany
