I am looking at buying a intex excursion 5 with trolling motor. I plan to use this boat mainly for fishing and leisure. any better ideas or reviews of this boat?

Don't know what your budget is like, but I've got two sea eagles and wouldn't trade them. Just remember, you get what you pay for.

I've got Intex Mariner 4 with a custom hard floor with 55 lbs electric motor. The boat is great. It's got a keel. It does what is supposed to do well, but to be honest, I am tired of setting this thing up every time I go out.

bad experience for me with inflatables.  i wont have one again.  good luck to you and be careful.      check out the sea eagle boats. 

have you thought about a kayak instead?
