I live in a small town next to portland. I have alot of private ponds that I do really well for both small and large mouth bass. I love to fish bass crappie and catfish. Does anyone recommend and close by reservoirs that I can do well? Tackle? Setups? Anything helps

Boat or bank? I've heard Henry Hagg Lake is good and also the Willamette River. That's about the limit of my knowledge for your side of the river.

You live right on the Willamette which is some great smallmouth water. From the falls down for 20 miles,  find some slow soft water and throw a popper, wacky senko, 5 inch grub on a 1/4 jig head , small spinnerbait and or a Vibrex ( chartreause body ).  All will work from shore.
