Cleaning A Messed Up Lure?

Featured Replies

I have a few plastic baits ive messed up on. Have you guys found anything that takes the paint off the lure without damaging it? Ive tried fingernail polish but it messes the plastic up. Ive only found soap and water and some good ole elbow gease works but was wondering if there was a easier way. Thanks

ill give that a shot. ive also thought about trying to use some gojo hand cleaner.

If you are using a water based paint then denatured alcohol should work.

If you're talking about removing acrylic latex paint with no topcoat on it, I just run it under warm water and use a toothbrush to scrub off the paint.  If you're talking removing paint that has been topcoated, that's a whole 'nother thing and depends on what kind of topcoat you used.
