Came Home With A New Baitcast Rig Today!

Featured Replies

Went to the local dicks sporting goods today with the intention on picking up a new spinning rod, and came home with a whole new set up!

Abu Garcia orra ax and a G-lot is GL2 rod. Can't wait to get out on the lake this weekend. My bait casting skills may be a little rusty though. Haven't used one since I was a kid.

New state record...here I come!!! Haha

I'm interested to hear what you think about that combo because I have been eyeballing one as well but I am leary of combo's now.

It actually didn't come as a combo. Dicks wasn't offering anything I wanted to buy, as far as a combo goes, so I bought them separately. I will let you know how it does though. I bought it for one thing in mind. Pitches jigs, worms, etc..Mainly through weeds, grass, heavy cover and such.

I did take it out in the yard and practice some casts. All I gotta say is the engineering and technology has gone a long way as far as gear goes. Big difference since The last tim i picked up a baitcaster 20 years ago

I don't see a particular model number, if that's what your asking. I do know its the 6'9" jig/worm rod

Sure it's not 6'8". That would make it a JWR 803C.
