Bass Aoy Standings. How Does It Work?

Featured Replies

How does the point system work for the Angler of the Year standing for BASS Elite Series? Like hows Ish Monroe is 7th place yet Todd Faircloth, Jason Christie and Keith Combs have straight won events and are below him. Can someone explain to me how the point system works?

The higher you place in each tourney the higher you will be positioned in the AOY standings. Its a cumulative point system over the course of the seasin.

The winner of an Elite event gets 99 points. For every place below that they get one point less all the way down to 100th place that gets 0. Tally it all up and he who has most wins.

It's all about consistency. Faircloth may have won an event but he's also had a 61st, 54th, and a 47th. Not good.
