Zoom 4 Inch Lizard

Featured Replies

Anybody ever fish these while wading creeks? If so how and where did you fish them...also what kind of success did you have?

My wife and I like fishing lizards.  We usually T-rig them with a 3/16oz weight or sometimes weightless.  Cast them to cover and swim/hop them slowly back to you.  Or if you have any lily pads or something similar, you can use them like a topwater.  Skim the lizard across the top of the pads.  Sometimes they'll come up through them and slam it.  You can also pause it near the edge of a pad and then let it slide off and sink a bit.  A bass may be sitting right there just waiting for the something to fall in.

Caught this one in a shallow/narrow creek.  Tossed the lizard up under an overhanging tree and he hit it on the fall.

The wife caught this one yesterday morning.  Came up through the pads and hit it on top.
