The Berkley Beast

Featured Replies

I purchased a few bags of the Berkley powerbaits The Beast and have had no luck catching fish with them has anyone else had success with them or no success at all with them would like some feedback.

I have done very well with them. Hook them through the side texas style with no weight. Throw them up next to cover and just let them fall. They have a quiver and shimmy like a dying shad. When they hit bottom raise them up a little and let them fall, reel back and throw them at the cover again. Be patient. They will catch some big bass.

So hook em sideways? Does this work with other Baits such as "Beavers" as well?

I am not sure I understand, but I always hook beaver type beaits through the flat side it gives them a nice gliding action.

The smaller Beast is one of my favorite finesse jig trailers. It's awesome.

I like it for a light Split shot or Carolina rig bait, too.
