New to fishing shaky head

Featured Replies

Probally should have asked for advice before ordering but I ordered  some  1/8 Buckeye Spot Remover Jig heads. Are these a good all around jig head for shaky head fishing? I have a  MH BPS Tourney Special spinning rod with a Pleuger President reel spooled with 10#YoZuri I plan on using for this application being the rod gets no use currently other than lending to friends who cant throw a baitcaster when I bring them fishing. Should I go with lighter line?

Spot removers are great jigheads.  You posting that actually reminded me that I need to pick up a few more before too long.

10lb is probably fine, several people like 6-8.  I've never had an issue going between 8 or 10.

The Spot Removers are good quality jigheads. 6 or 8 pound line would be better for fishing shaky heads since Yo-Zuri is pretty thick.

Spot Removers are a pretty good jighead, I throw them on 10-12 fluoro and they work pretty well
