Here is a short tutorial on how to turn an R.O.F 5 6" Huddleston swimbait into a floater.

Step 1: Cut open the belly.

Step 2: Remove the weighted insert.

Step 3: Cut all of the lead off of the insert.

Step 4: Cut the molded in jig hook off of the insert with a pair of cutters.

Step 5: Push the insert back into the bait.

Step 6: Glue the body back together with Mend-It.

Step 7: Attach a split ring and a size 1 treble onto the belly ring (I used an Owner ST-56).

Step 8: FISH! When the 6" Huddleston is modified this way, it becomes a great deadstick and surface waking bait. Cast it into prime areas and let it sit. The tail will wobble with wind and wave action.
