Stren Hi-Vis Gold

Featured Replies

I know that line color matters, but I'm wondering how good this would be for texas rigs and jigs if I didn't use a leader? How much would this turn fish off when fishing pretty clear water around grass? It's just the rest of an old filler spool I found in my closet. It's 14 pound.

I am not sure but it was all i used growing up on clear rivers and caught plenty of fish.  I also use hi vis power pro with no leader and haven;t noticed a decrease in catching but i do color the last few feet with a sharpie.

It is great line and was my favorite until I tried Daiwa Samuari in the yellow color and Stren stopped marketing it..

I have several spools of the 20# and 30#.

I use/used it for finesse presentations.

I used stren hi-viz yellow (super braid) last fall and found no difference between it and clear lines, number of bites wise. But it was very easy to see and I could see any little twitch or pick-up.
