Has anyone taken one of those Amtrak Vacations? They got several national park tours that looks interesting. Gives you an opportunity to sample each national parks. I been looking at doing an Amtrak Vacation or just simply taking a train trip to the west somewhere. (Like Seattle, Colorado, etc.) I'm thirsty for an adventure. cool.gif I got a savings account where I just want blow it on an adventure by myself and discover the world around me. Anyway, just curious if anyone done a trip like this and if it was worth it.

Edit: For those of you that may not have heard of such vacation, here is a link: http://www.amtrak.com/all-inclusive-train-vacation-packages I've been browsing the Independent Rail Journey page.

I've always wanted to. I've never got around to it though. My buddy and I were talking about it Friday actually.

Nope. I prefer to drive wherever I go. You never know when you want to take a detour or stay longer somewhere.

Word of caution though, at least a have CC with a good limit just in case of an emergency.
