Ok so I've beat Delta lake to death and have yet to catch a keeper bass just TONS of pickerel. I'm headed to Oneida tomorrow where else is there for bass around here. I'm in Rome and have my kayak. I checked out Mohawk River and I can walk that thing in flip flops and not get my feet wet. I heard the canal also but canal by me sucks idk how it could be any better here. Help I've got tons of free time I mean like daily pretty much I work over nights then sit in a hotel room bored.

I don't know anything about the waters in CNY, but I can say from lots of personal experience that the fishing in the canal is not consistent. It wouldn't be my first choice, but you can't safely rule out one section of it based on another section 150 miles away.
