A landowner complained about the wakes from the bass boats in Diascund Creek off of Chickahominy River and the conservation officers are patrolling the area.

 

There is a little known Virginia boating law that says you cannot throw a wake within 50-feet of a boat house, pier or dock. Even if there are no Wake Zone buoys you cannot throw a wake within 50-feet of a boat house, pier or dock. 

 

Diascund Creek is narrow in a number of places and you will be within 50-feet of the bank. If you are making any type of wake you can get the $135 ticket.

 

Just a word to the wise who will be fishing this creek in the future.
