Stafford Pond, Tiverton, Ri

Featured Replies

I will be fishing stafford pond next week for LMB and SMB. Just wondering if anyone here has fished it before. If so, what would be your top 3 lures for big bass in this pond at this time of the year? (or RI in general) Going to be trying the usual suspects, senkos, spro frogs, tiny torpedos, just wondering if there is a signature lure for this spot.

Thanks

I have fished Stafford many times, but not at this time of year. Last time I fished it a red shad senko wacky rigged and a GP baby brush hog was killing them. Some parts are very deep and there are a ton of rocks. Be careful with your boat and your lures. I have seen and have gotten hung up more on that lake than any other. Check out some of the articles on the site about fall fishing and try some the recommended lures. Also, give the brush hog and senko a try and find out from there. Good luck. There are some real nice bass in that lake.
