Okay. I don't know how I missed it for this long, but I just saw the new Daiwa Tatula reels, and I'm head over heels with desire. Does anyone have one that can give feedback? Are they all that I think they are, or have I been suckered in by those sexy cosmetics and Daiwa's excellent marketing?

You didn't miss it for long; they just became available. I've been wanting to hear a review myself. I have all Daiwa casting reels, and currently have more reels than rods, but I'm thinking about getting one of these anyway.

Heard it's slightly bulky but sexy none the less. I'm about to pick up one or two. And a type r when it comes out

I have one, and have more on the way.  Incredible casting distance and accuracy.  The reel has fairly good power, as well.  It is a little bulky, but I have very large hands, and this reel fits perfectly.  

 

I am replacing all of the reels on my "moving bait" setups to this reel.

I'm waiting for the type r to come out.
