Flip/punch Combo <$200

Featured Replies

With upcoming fall/winter sales I wanted to look into getting a new combo for punching and flipping.

Im currently using a 7' mh daiwa team d w/ lews mg speed spool. This combo gives a little much and Id rather have a swimjig on it.

The cover i punch doesnt need more than 1oz tungsten and im not interested in rods over 7'6" as they wont fit inside truck. Max id be willing to pay is $200 (unless i get a nice holiday deal)

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Save yerself even more..

You can try an IM6 7'6 Daiwa Jupiter Flippin Stick from Wally World.. circa $60

Its telescopic so it collapses down..serves me well for flippin

Check the flee market. I know of at least 2 rods that would fit hhat bill nicely.

I have flipped up at least 100 fish over 5lbs this year on my $200 rig...A quantum accurist reel I bought for less than $50 on ebay and a dobyns savvy 766 (FLIP/PUNCH) rod purchased for about $130 during a discounted sale.

I personally believe those two items might be two of the best value purchases available in bass fishing (besides Hawgtech ceramic bearings) ;)

bps extreme rod =$100

bps pro qualifier reel =$100

top of the line for the price.
