Halo Fishing Rods?

Featured Replies

While browsing tackle warehouse the whole line of Halo fishing rods caught my eye, but why no action or lure ratings? This is making it nearly impossible for me to even think of buying one. They look great and I have heard some good things about them, but as a consumer I don't really know how to figure this one out. Any info would be great.

I actually found some at Wal-Mart and liked them but the lack of information on them scared me away. Actually Wal-Mart' s god awful rod storage scared me away.

I don't know why they do not use rating systems to give someone an idea of the power they have but I will say this, Halo rods fished with anything other than braid are a waste of time. I didn't say they are bad rods, but they all have moderate actions, even with braid it is hard to get use to setting the hook and the rod bending so steep, almost like fishing a jig with an ugly stick only the Halo is lighter.

Good to know, thanks. Definitely something to consider. Good for square bills maybe?

I think it sounds awesome for those guys that like ripping lip less cranks through grass.
