Help Finding New Rod

Featured Replies

Hey everyone, after endless good reviews, I decided I am going to get a pro qualifier. I am going to get a 6:4:1 that I would use for jigs and Texas rigged plastics. I was wondering what rod I should get to match. My budget is 120$. Thanks for your help!

I have a Pro Qualifier as well...love it. As far as the rod goes, I'll tell ya, for the $, I feel the Skeet Reese 7'2" Jig/Big Worm rod is the best bang for the buck. I'll be honest with you and say that I have owned mostly cheap rods ($30-$60) so this was the first rod of any quality I have owned. I own a Skeet S-Glass cranking rod and love that rod too. I'd be interested in hearing some other member's feedback too.

edit: whatever you do, don't get an AllStar. I've had 3 break on me...

You can get a shimano crucial from Gander Mountain for like $130 right now. That has been my favorite fluke/weighted worm/all around plastics rod so far (aside from my $250 Cumara). 7'0 or 7'2 MH w/ fast or x-fast taper.

for 120 bucks you have alot to chose from.
