New Berkeley 100% Line?

Featured Replies

Has anyone tried the newer version of the 100% fluoro (XL) yet? Supposed to be much softer and more manageable than the original, I'm wondering if that also means stretchier though? I would love to be able to use 8lb on a 2500 reel, but 6lb is the max I can use without major issues using the original 100%. Love it on baitcasters as it's stiffness and density work well, but not spinning.

I believe the new trilene fluoro is exclusively for spinning reels and doesn't go over 12lb test.

Berkely 100% Fluoro is still the same and available just packaged differently ala XL AND XT mono.

I just got some of the 8lb that is going on a 1000 and a 2500. Hopefully I can get them spooled up this weekend and try them out.

BenB54 please follow up with a review after you have fished it a while, I would be interested in hearing your feedback.
