Lake Mcclure

Featured Replies

I have a tournament in febuary on  Lake Mcclure (Sorry for asking tips alot but i am new to tournaments and i didn't to many lakes before that) and i was wondering if ya'll new anything about it.  I watched some videos last year that said that they started bedding but the cold drove them back deep.

thanks

When did they start bedding, they won't bed in February that's forsure. Fish mcclure just like bass lake, millerton and pineflat. They are all similar to me

It was at the end of february and the fish started bedding and then the cold front hit and they drove back deep

Maybe they were coming up and staging but I've never heard of bass in mcclure bedding in febuary. Especially that lake being higher in altitude, its colder up there than lakes such as eastman and even the delta and those fish seem to start bedding usually around mid/late march

McClure in Feb...put your guide wear on and fish slow...slow...slow...

To me fishing the lakes around here in january and febuary will be the slowest months.
