Tatula Casting Rods Reviewed...

Featured Replies

They are looking like an excellent rod for the price. Daiwa really went balls the wall at this price point. They are not playing around. If they are like the zillions though, they will be very stiff for their rating

I got my hands on one, really liked it a lot.  I think that very well may be my next rod. As long as i stay true to myself and don't pick up a Legend Tournament Bass.

Yeah, to heck with any New Years' resolution, I'm wantin' to get my hands on one of these!! To test, that is. I'll refrain from buying...unless my wife allows it.  :wall1:

I agree and its about dang time.

Which is a reason why I think shimano is debuting a new curado. Competition sure can be a good thing

x2 on that.

So much hype to the tatula rods and reels, yet so much performance. I am very impressed. Daiwa is basically saying, "Your move, Shimano"  :dancing-baby:

At my local BPS the sales person said Revos are their best sellers. And apparently Lews is really popular on this board. I think its everybody's next move lol.

More like saying their answer to the crucial

Lews reels yes, now if they made rods in same scope then it'll really be about moves.

Tatula missing a 7' or longer Medium power Fast action bc rod in their line-up?, why?

They were meant to fit specific techniques. Not sure why some were and weren't included...

That's why I am excited for this Spring classic show. I like Shimano and Daiwa equally, and now that Daiwa has stepped up and shown why they are one of the most popular brands, it is Shimano's turn to make something innovative and outstanding. If Shimano releases a sub-par curado this spring-classic (that's the rumor anyway), who knows how many fans they will lose to Daiwa, lews, etc. I hope they know this.

definitely gonna be a Crucial vs. Tatula battle going on out there

Exactly.....I wanted a 7' Medium fast to pair up with my T3 for river fishing but they only make a medium moderate rod. Maybe it will come later in the spring.

The T3 was way more innovative than the Tatula IMO. Then after Shimano introduces the new Cuardo, Daiwa will come out with something like a smaller Tatula with 3D braking, ball in Shimanos court and so on. Its a ping pong ball. Both companies do it right and make great reels. As for the Zillion Tatula comparisons, I'm not certain they utilize the same blanks. They just utilize the same construction process. The Zillion rod blanks appear to be thinner in diameter to me

Sort of interested. I need a Heavy rod and the price is very reasonable. I wonder if BPS will carry these.

Mine does, that's where I handled one. Very impressive rod by the looks of it.
