Daiwa Guys Chime In.

Featured Replies

What's the deal with the Procyon reel? While I'm on my daiwa kick and looking for another inshore reel I came across this. Reviews are like non existent. Any of you own one? Do you think it's worth the price tag? .. No one local has one for me to get a hands on

great reel

It is a good real with lots of features for the money. The rod actually isnt that bad for the money either. I am not saying you couldnt spend a bit more and get a much better rod but for rods in that price range it is well built. My buddy has the 7' rod with the 2500SH reel and I have use it, I thought it worked well and he loves it.

I hear they are heavier than advertised, if that matters.

Have a 7ft Mojo inshore rod that needs a reel. I might jump on it.

Dam007, try looking in some of the Texas kayaking forums and the Australian fishing forums. I haves found lots of Daiwa info on those forums from Daiwa spinning reels users
