Cuda 12 Question

Featured Replies

I took all the foam blocks out of my Cuda 12 except the one that sits under the seat. I thought they were for shipping but then I read they are for support. I replaced the "T" shaped foam block but I can't remember where the 3 small foam blocks go? Could somebody tell me where they are suppose to go? Thanks

Just bought me a Cuda 12. If you have pictures of the small blocks maybe I can help figure out where they go. I haven't taken a really good look inside of it yet but could possibly do it.

Thanks and here's a pic.

Can't seem to find where the longer bottom piece is on my kayak, but the two shorter ones are under the black plastic rod tip cover (hood) at the very front. Supposedly you can put your rod tips into there when paddling so they don't get caught and snap but I can't seem to get my 7' rod to fit nicely into the darn thing while sitting correctly in the grooves near the seat.

Also I'm not 100% sure if that is where they are supposed to go originally. The guy that sold it to me had them there and said it was supposed to support the hood during transport or from deforming. Not sure where else such small blocks would go anyway. Probably wasn't much help but GL!

I think you're right. Thanks so much for the help

I bet if you call down to Jackson they would help you out by telling you what they do specifically and where they should go.  Even might suggest the kind of glue to use if necessary.  They are responsive.  Mine are all still intact as I assumed they are there to add structural integrity to the boat but I may be wrong.
