Just wondering how you owners of this reel use the gear lube port under the handle.

I spoke with a Lews rep and they suggest you open the port and apply a thin line on 1/4 of the gear and close the cap. Wind the reel very fast to spread the grease and that's it. With other reels I take the reel apart and spread a thin line around the entire gear and press it in with my finger.

Just wondering your thoughts and how you use this port.
