Need A Shakey Head Setup

Featured Replies

Last year I tore some bass up with the shakey head. I was using a cheap spinning rod and reel, but I would like to upgrade this year. What is a decent rod and reel set up good for the shakey head? I think I would like to stick with a spinning rod and reel since I do a lot of close pitches in trees. As far as my budget, I would like to have less than $150 in the rod and reel.

Falcon LowRider XG Spin 6'10" Medium I love this rod for shaky heads. Specifically designed for the application by Falcon.

Pair it with a Sahara and you are done. Might be a little over your budget but you'll never need another shaky head set up again. Also good for weightless wacky Senko fishing.
