Broken Rod

Featured Replies

I broke a 7ft MH fast wild black over the winter and want to repair it (since trying to contact e21 is impossible). I broke it 2 1/2" from the tip so if I attach the replacement tip it would be about 1 1/4" from the first guide. My question is, should I take off the 1 1/4" so the new tip would be better spaced with the guides or should I just attach the new tip at the break?

I normally replaced them at the break in my shop. Granted I would do this for crappy poles that people wanted to use that day. Honestly its a quick fix and your rod wont be the same. Try to contact e21 they just relaunched their website.

Thanks! I tried many times throughout December and gave up in early January. It'd be nice to use the warranty.

Replace it right at the break. You will want as much of the original length as possible. Did you try the online warranty form? Do they have a no fault warranty? It is really unlikely that a break that close to the tip is E21's fault.
