Im pretty excited, I just picked up a 6'10 Med Villain spinning rod at Sportsman's Warehouse for $89!   Looking forward to taking it out on the water.

I like my ML Villain spinning rod.  My MH casting rod not so much.  Too stiff to handle the lower end of the weight range which is what I usually throw.

 

They are a very nice looking rod.  Congrats on the great deal.  Just realize that all Abu rods seem to be under-rated for power.

That is the understatement lol. Abu rods are the stiffest I have come into contact with. The only one that gave it a run for the was the mojo slop n frog rod. If the villains are like the veritas, you're rod might be almost 2 powers heavier lol

I have the 7'1 MH casting version and I love it. I use it for spinnerbaits though I did use it for throwing lipless cranks last year briefly and caught some really nice and hard fighting brown and rainbow trout with it on a Excalibur lipless handled just fine.
