Looking at getting  a new tm . any one have one or reviews on the MG X3 24v?

I don't believe that they have hit retailers yet. I did get to play with the a prototype for few minutes, the whole variable steering thing is neat.

I've got a 55# but I've only been on the water twice. I'm fishing for 3 days with it this weekend. So I'll have more feedback next week. So far I like it.

How was it? 

Its working well. The only thing I have issue with is the clamp around the upper shaft. Its very tight and makes changing the height of the motor tough.

I got the new xi5 with pinpoint 80lb 24v love it had the minkota powerdrive v2 with ipiolot on my last boat and i just dont care for minkota.. Plus i am a lowrance guy and from my understanding lowrance has partnered with motorguide and is planning on having this some time soon waiting for the update. Cant wait..

 Sorry i cant say much about x3 but in my opionion you cant go wrong with a motorguide..

What don't you like about Minn Kotas?

The main thing is the noise I had from my power drive v2..it was super loud to me.. And didn't like the cord for the foot pedal but that's something you will deal with for both models unless you buy the highest end model. Another thing I didn't like was when I ran it wireless with the controller you could not use foot pedal. Now with terrova you could so again was just the model I had.. But i an an say for sure it was noisy.. And I'm not trying to bash on minkota at all.. They make a good trolling motor it just wasn't for me.. Main reason there is they with Hummingbird and I'm a Lowrance guy. Again personal preference nothing else..
