Long Islanders Get Your Rods Ready!

Featured Replies

Hello fellow Long Islanders!

We have had a long winter but spring is finally here, ponds are unfrozen and we've had some nice days here and there. Last weekend, on saturday it was 60 degrees out and i was nailing bass at Blydenburgh Lake. I was surprised they were biting this early, caught them all on spoons and little cleos. I tried out some other ponds that i usually fish but they werent the same, they were not awake yet.... Something about Blydenburgh, possibly its shallow water, max depth of 6 feet, allowed it to warm up fast. Anyways, this upcoming weekend is going to be 55+ degrees, Im heading to Blydenburgh and you should too!

Good luck
