Im going to visit my mother in Dallas Fortworth area first time ever in texas,  I will be going to grapevine on a boat one day so any pointers? and also i will be boatless the next few days i do have an inflatable boat tho and would like to do some fishing any suggestions on where to go I would like to do maybe a calm river or something like that

? I will be near grapevine but dont mind a little drive.

    Flower Mound on the north side of the lake around Twin Coves Marina is a good spot to find crappie and largemouth.  I hear by the d**n you can find white bass.  The lake is currently about 9 1/2 feet below normal levels due to the drought may make it difficult to find fishing spots though.
