Berkley 100% Xl ?

Featured Replies

What's everyone's verdict on this line?

I've been using 8lb on a 2500 reel this winter and quite like it. It certainly handles easier on spinning reels than the non XL version. Still not great casting, but that's fluoro generally. I prefer it to invisx as it seems heavier and less stretchy, still probably use non XL on baitcasters, because I've got some bulk spools and like the line, but this seems an improvement for spinning reels.

Anyone found any down sides to this line yet?

I have some 12lb on my Chronarch CI4+. Only made a dozen or so casts with it so far, so have nothing to really add to this point. It seems to handle and cast quite well. No clue on stretch or abrasion resistance. I'll know more in the coming weeks.
